This newly released CD was recorded in Chicago, on an instrument built in 2011 by Wahl Organbuilders, from Appleton, WI.  I was honored to be asked to perform the inaugural concert on this instrument in the spring of 2012, and enjoyed both the ingenuity of design in this small but colorful instrument, and how well it played much of the German repertoire that is close to my heart.  Putting a program together for this CD, I decided to play a variety of pieces, from early Baroque Sweelinck, through Bach, to the Romantic composer August Gottfried Ritter.  Also included is a new piece commissioned for the dedication of the organ by Larry J. Long, former Cantor at Augustana — a variation set on A Mighty Fortress is our God.
